In 2008 Liakos and Associate Architects was appointed to expand and refurbish Pelagos Hotel, in Kos. The extension of the hotel comprises 90 new guestrooms, new central building, pool bar and pool restaurant within a total development area of 39.500 m².
Key to the development was to design a family-friendly hotel with all the elements of a five-star luxury resort. Strong simple architectural forms were chosen, blended with refined colors and finish materials. Limestone, smooth plaster, glass and wood were integrated with sophisticated design detailing resulting in an ambiance of relaxation and elegance. Extensive landscaping works have been undertaken so as to create impressive inner views.
