Kos Imperial Thalasso is a five-star luxury hotel which gentle embraces the hillside and beach area of Psalidi, Kos. The design challenge in this project was to create a unique and exclusive sustainable destination resort that would offer guests privacy, tranquility, spectacular views, and unforgettable exotic experiences. Following the client’s brief, the resort stretches out among multilevel lush gardens and lagoons while being easily accessible to guests with special needs. The exteriors walls of the hotel are designed to be like the walls of a city and the forms are derived from medieval architecture. The central building cascades down in colonial lounges & terraces, the bungalow rooms lay out in village style in fragrant gardens and villas stand along the beachfront, creating a distinct sense of place.
